9-12 Months Baby Schedule

9 – 12 Months Baby Schedule

Congratulations on making it three quarters of the way through your baby’s incredible first year. Your 9 – 12 months old baby is most likely crawling and/or walking all over the place by now and exploring all areas he couldn’t before now.

Is your house looking like a tornado rolled through? That is par for the course at this age. Your budding toddler is practicing more than just the use of arms and legs for movement.

They are also learning how to organise, assemble, disassemble, destroy, fix, and generally get started on the path of independence. You might also notice that your 9 – 12 months old baby begins to insist on doing specific tasks like feeding himself and picking up his favourite toys on his own.

This is a good time to teach and encourage your child’s dexterity. Don’t feel bad if he is reaching for his own cutlery to feed himself and swats your helping hands away.

It will create a mess but it is the best kind of a mess where they get to learn and perfect a life skill. You can also cut up his food in tiny bits so he practices his pincer grip and picks at his food with his fingers and feeds himself.

In this post, you will find a sample schedule for 9 – 12 months old babies and suggestions for meals.
